Understanding Send and Resolve

Overview

When responding to a query, the Send and Resolve buttons serve different purposes.

It is important to use the correct action so the query moves through the VERSA Connect lifecycle correctly.

Send

Use Send when you want to continue the conversation with the conveyancer.

You may use Send to:

  • Ask for additional information.
  • Request further evidence.
  • Provide an interim response.
  • Continue communication while the query remains under review.

When you select Send, your message is added to the conversation thread and the query remains Open.

          Resolve

Use Resolve only when you believe the conveyancer’s query has been fully answered and no further lender action is required.

          When you select Resolve:

          1. VERSA Connect asks you to confirm your decision.
          2. Once confirmed, the query status changes from Open to Resolved.
          3. The conveyancer is notified that a response is ready for review.

                Resolved Does Not Mean Closed

Resolved means the lender has provided a response and the query is now waiting for the conveyancer to review.

The conveyancer decides whether the query can be closed.

                What Happens Next

                Conveyancer Action

                Result

                Selects Yes

The query moves to Closed and the lifecycle is complete.

                Selects No

The query returns to Open so communication can continue.

                Key Difference

                Action

                Result

                Send

Keeps the query Open and continues the conversation.

                Resolve

Changes the query to Resolved and passes it back to the conveyancer for review.

                Best Practice

Only select Resolve when you are satisfied that your response fully answers the query and no further lender action is required.
